Show Supplier/Decorator - Modern Expo

You can supply your own booth items but we will have an excellent decorator/supplier available through Modern Expo. Your booth is simply your space with black piper and drape (8' back wall and 3' sides) and Modern can supply everything else except internet connections (see below). Many commonly ordered items include draped tables, chairs, carpet and electricity. Click here to download the 2022 Exhibitor Packet from Modern Expo. You may bring in your own booth items as well.
* Material handing fees are expensive. Be sure to know the costs before you ship or receive anything on site at the show.

Internet

Wifi internet for exhibitors will be FREE compliments of Pinners Conference! We've been told it should be good enough to run all transactions, etc. if we don't share the exhibitor password with too many visitors. Please help us keep the password between us :) You'll be given the password at set-up.

Electrical

A standard electrical outlet in Idaho is only $25 and can be order on set-up day (only) from the Pinners at check-in table. Larger ampage available at a higher cost ($50-100).

Booth Design Rules

We are fortunate in this venue to not have a lot of set-up and design regulations. Here are a few show rules:
* All booth amenities must be within the allotted space (nothing in the isles) unless pre-approved.
* Anything deemed unsafe in the opinion of the show organizer (such as tipping hazards) will be required to change.
* Solid side walls on your booth may not extend farther than halfway to the front of the booth. This is so we don't block the view to each other as visitors walk down the aisle. Some shows have designated "full wall" booth areas.
* The provided drape rods will support normal banners but in general are not to be used as booth support.
* Helium balloons can be used, but only if they are attached securely to your booth. Please do not hand out helium balloons.

Parking (map) and trailer parking

Parking is good at the Expo Idaho Center and free. Trailers are okay to leave overnight in designated spaces. Trailer parking map coming soon.

Material Handling

Advanced shipping and/or material handling can be coordinated through Modern Expo Services. Please see the above mentioned Exhibitor Packet for rates and instructions. Please pre-check your costs so you are aware of the charges.

Set-Up | Take-Down

Set-up is Thursday, April 21st between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Call or e-mail for early set-up times (Wednesday).

Take-down is anytime after 7 p.m. (to 11 p.m.) on Saturday evening. No early take downs!

Class passes

We will give each exhibiting business a class punch card good for 2 classes each day of the show. You can use or pass around this card as you wish. These are passes for the 'stand-by' line and do not include kits. Class passes above these two classes each day will need to be purchased.

Promo Codes

If you would like a custom promo code that you can give to friends and followers for 1/2 price general admission tickets online, please request it here.

Hotels

Our host hotels are the SpringHill Suites (West Boise/Eagle) and the Hilton Garden Inn (Boise Downtown). See more info here. Unfotunately there are not any hotels very close to Expo Idaho at this time. Make sure to book our host hotels through the link to receive our Pinners rate. Or if calling in, make sure to mention the Pinners Room Block in order to get our rate. 

Giveaways & Swag

This is a great way to get added exposure with VIP's and presenter influencers. We will have a VIP party on Thursday night that will include raffle tickets. We will be drawing raffle tickets, announcing the presenting companiy and giveaways and awarding winners towards the end of the party.

Contributing an item to the VIP/Presenter swag bag is an opportunity to get your brand and products even more exposure to this great group (please no coupons/flyers) and you can contribute to for free! You will need to bring 250 items with you to setup Thursday morning, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Food and Temporary Food Permit Questions

Selling food at Expo Idaho Fairgrounds is allowed. You'll need to apply with the Expo Idaho Fairgrounds with the form linked below. Food sold for consumption off-site is fine. Food sold and consumed on-site may be subject to a percentage fee to Expo Idaho. Please also fill out the application for the Health Department linked HERE. You will email this to Luke. Here is the Expo Idaho Fairgrounds food application. Please specify if you are selling, sampling or both. Once you have filled out the application please send it to Maddie and she will submit those to the convention center. Please submit food requests by March 18th.

Tax Information

The Idaho Sales Tax Act requires every retailer in Idaho to obtain a seller's permit for the State Tax Commission. Retailers are also required to collect 6% sales tax on retail sale that is not exempt from tax. Please contact State Tax Commission if you have any questions. (208) 334.7660. or (800) 972.7600. 

ALL PARTICIPANTS do the following:

  1. Go to tax.idaho.gov/GoToTAP and under “Sellers and Promoters” click “Register as a Temporary Seller or Promoter.”
  2. Choose “Seller WITH Event ID” > “Next”
  3. Choose “I am going to an event” > “Next”
  4. Enter the Event ID (OUR EVENT ID IS: 2050752512) > “Next”
  5. Enter your Seller Information > “Next”
  6. Choose Purpose: “I am not making taxable sales,” “I have a regular permit” or “I need a temporary permit.” > “Next”
  7. Review your entry > “Submit”
  8. Check your email account for further instructions or attached Temporary Sellers Permit (if applicable).


YES, all participants need to register but NO, Regular Sales & Use Tax holders do NOT need a Temp Permit.

 

Pinners Marketing

We're excited at the Pinners Conference to do extensive marketing. It is heavily (and expertly) social media oriented but also includes a traditional media-wide campaign such as TV, billboards, poster boards, magazine, newspaper contacts, ticket distribution points, national DIY and craft organizations, women's group e-mail campaigns and of course many of the nation's most popular influencers and other electronic media.

Rates

Booth space is available by contacting Pinners at 801.822.1333. Booths are 10' x 10' and 8' x 10' and generally run $799. Bennett Events is a leader in connecting businesses with their custom audience.
